What is the reflective material?

         Reflective materials, also known as reverse reflector materials, reflector materials, are widely used in traffic signs, road signs, contour marks, traffic cones, anti-collision tubes and other road traffic safety facilities, as well as car license plates, clothing, shoes and hats, fire protection, railway, water transportation, mining areas, etc.

         The realization of the reverse reflection function of light is realized through a variety of reflective materials with the reverse reflection performance. Most of these materials are not naturally formed, but new substances invented and synthesized by human creativity. Reverse reflection technology brings together optics, materials science, mathematics, organic chemistry and other disciplines and technologies.

         Common reflective products in life are reflective film (can be cut to be tapes). And according to reflective film’s reverse reflection principle, it can be divided into glass bead type and micro prism type. The maximum reflective distance of the general glass bead type reflective film is between 130 meters and 250 meters, while the reflective distance of the micro-prism type reflective film can reach more than 350 meters. Besides, according to reflective film’s  photo-metric performance, structure and use, can be divided into the following 7 types also:

         Class I- usually a lens embedded glass bead structure, called the engineering grade reflective film, the service life is generally 7 years, can be used for permanent traffic signs and facilities in the operation area;

         class II - usually embedded lens type glass bead structure, said the super engineering level reflective film, the service life is generally 10 years, can be used for permanent traffic signs and operation area facilities;

         class III - usually sealed capsule type glass bead structure, said the high strength reflective film, the service life is generally 10 years, can be used for permanent traffic signs and operation area facilities;

         Class IV - usually a micro prism structure, called super reflective film, the service life is generally 10 years, can be used for permanent traffic signs, operation area facilities and contour marks;

         class V - usually a micro prism structure, called the large Angle reflective film, the service life is generally 10 years, can be used for permanent traffic signs, operation area facilities and contour marks;

         class VI - usually a micro prism structure, metal coating, service life is generally 3 years, can be used for contour marks and traffic columns, no metal coating can also be used for operating area facilities and traffic signs with fewer characters;

         Class VII - usually micro-prism structure, flexible material, service life is generally 3 years, can be used for temporary traffic signs and operation area facilities.

Note:

1. All kinds of reflective film structure is usually used typical structure, do not rule out theexistence of other structures. Such as prism type engineering grade reflective film for class I reflective film.

2. All kinds of reflective film service life for the manufacturer's general commitment period, the actual service life is related to its material and use. For example, fluorescent reflective film and reflective film used for temporary traffic signs and facilities in the operation area, the service life is generally 3 years.
